Watching the news can be really inspiring sometimes. Like when you see this remote village somewhere you don’t even know, and hear that there has been a flood there and thus they are unable to go fishing. You think to yourself: what an exciting life this is! I wanna go live there; I would work in the sea, opening my eyes every day to see the endless blue sky merging with the sea creating the most serene scene ever. Who could be board in a place like that! I can go surfing or diving or swimming anytime I want.
I can eat fish everyday till I get fish gills under my arms that will make diving way easier; so when I’m upset, instead of going for a long walk in the park, I would go under the sea to talk to some fish who would defiantly understand, or at least they won’t make things worse by saying stupid stuff. And in the kingdom of fish, no one would blame me for choosing one candidate in the elections over another. Actually, nobody cares. No starfish is gonna judge me by what I ware or when I came or go. No crab is gonna insult me for attacking a shark who has tried to eat me. I’ll be living in peace.
But let’s get back to the real life here; we both know I can’t live under the sea! Above the sea, however, I can write a poem on the sand while watching the sunset. And if I get bored from working as a fisherman, I’ll collect shells, make necklaces and sell them. I would get up early everyday excited to watch the sunrise and thinking about the kind of shells the sea has left to me at the shore the night before. And if I ever get bored from both jobs –the fisherman and the shell collector- I’ll just stay at home taking the flood as an excuse.
Yah what an excellent life this would be! Just imagine that…
