She said to me, “I've been living for over twenty years and still I don’t know how to wear makeup! And when it comes to manicure, I don’t know how to keep it on my nails only without polishing half my fingers as well.”
She said to me “I don’t really like going to hairdressers. I've only been to them five or six times in my life. I just love to make a ponytail and leave my curly hair falling on my back. And you know what I really like? To wear a hairpin that matches my clothes!”
She said “Fashion isn't really my thing. I don’t understand why do I have to be and wear like everyone else when I can be myself! So, a pink blouse on a beige skirt will be perfect for a summer day; I don’t care if green and red are more “fashionable” or “up to date”!”
“They say ‘beauty is the beauty of the soul’, but they don’t believe that. If they did, then why is there a beauty salon in almost every street? Why is it that the main focus of most women is to lose weight and look slimmer?”
“Maybe I’m not “the perfect female” according to our society, but I think I’m truly blessed. Though I don’t wear red blusher -but if you make me really happy- my smile can brighten your day. And if I got the slightest feeling that you’re in trouble, I’ll do whatever it takes to help you and cheer you up. Also I don’t need a trip to Paris to entertain myself, a cup of tea and a nice novel will do the job.”
She stopped talking when she saw me smiling and asked, “why are you smiling?!”
“Because I think that the first one who said ‘beauty is the beauty of the soul’ must have been inspired by someone like you…”
